i have installed a new browser here in my pc. it’s teh mozilla firebird!
let me give this firebird a dry run for the remaining of the year and see if i can work with this baby. what i extra like in this browser is that you can download an extension for us LJ users. see the pic below:

it’s pretty neat and uncluttery so far. built-in tab browsing makes is less clutter. i have to figure out how to “detect music”. it was a bit run-around at first but the faq page in deepest sender is really helpful.
gotta go for now… i have a proposal to do later this afternoon. why the heck am i blogging today when i have to prepare?! LOL
let’s try this email circling around the cyberspace:

yeah i know. i haven’t been able to blog for a week. i have been tied doing my thesis.
last last week, i am attempting to code the stream function. it took me 3 pages in my “thesis logbook” for that part alone. i was able to do it but i really dont know if that will work. you see, it is only a part of the whole code so i wont be able to know if it actually works until i finish the whole thing.
last week, pen and me were doing the proposal paper. we did the latex file and the presentation file. we are due to propose on thurday - dec 11; (today is monday dec 8). sigh. hopefully that will push through without any problem. i already finished both my tex file and the presentation file.
basically i have divided my thesis job into 3 parts:
1. encoding the document from Dr.M
2. more analysis of the thesis itself
3. finally, coding the numerical method
i am trying to do the three simultaneously. well, not really simultaneously but juggling them from time to time. it’s like one day/night for the encoding part, next day/night will be reading/analyzing the paper and if i am in the mood, i try to code the algorithm.
the way i see it, i wont be able to enjoy the holidays because of the worries i will worrying.
that will be all for now. i will have to go back to the real world.
although my real desk is messy, at least my pc desktop is clean…
it was a reunion of sorts.
weng, don, glenn, gerald, paul & me were there.
we downed 1 gilbeys gin + 1 case of san mig light. lots of inihaw na tilapia were served. yum yum! i think there were 10 of them, 2 were left untouched because there was no more drink.
glenn and paul were still restless/energetic that they still want to play 3-on-3 basketball.
we were drunk all right that we can’t even see where the ball is heading (not to mention that the court was not lighted).
team mates were paul, weng and me vs glenn, gerald and don. we were wobbling during the first few baskets but were able to shrug off the alcohol after sometime.
PAWIS kami pagkatapos. suka si weng. sa daan. si paul at glenn nag 1-on-1 pa pagkatapos ng laro.
went back to weng’s home at about 3:30 and slept:
ikaw lang kulang anthony. sana andun ka para kumpleto tayo.
sana bago umalis si paul next year, maka-isang inuman tayong lahat!

channel 7 started airing commercials announcing that indeed, Shaider is back!!
i miss those days… waiting for my favorite cartoons on tv. i had lots of favorite cartoons and though shaider is not a cartoon, i eagerly anticipate it everytime.
one main reason is annie. LOLZ.
anyway, i hope i can watch some episodes of shaider when it airs. also, sana isama na rin nila ang bioman!
here is the tagalog version of shaider’s theme song:
Sino siya… Kidlat na galing sa kalangitan
Sino siya… Matatag na puno galing sa bagyo
Ikaw na galing sa langit
Pumukaw sa kadiliman
Banayag na hanging bumabalot sa daigdig
Magpakilala ka…

here is a snippet of what transpired during the fight…
Rnd 1
In the first moments Pacquiao hits the canvas after only a few punches are traded! I can’t tell if that was really a punch. At any rate whatever it was, it oosened up both fighters. Barrera takes the interesting tactic of being the initiator; Pacquiao adjusts, and find a way to start initiating exchanges by the time they enter the third minute of the round. Manny is reaching in with that left, with serious intention. It’s Barrera who closes the round with a good downstairs-upstairs one-two.
Pacquiao 8, Barrera 10
Rnd 2
Pacquiao is intent, and coming straight in. .Barrera is countering with plenty of confidence and keeping his jab working as a good defensive buffer. Pacman walks in, behind solid straight punches; Marco Antonio does a fine job of deflecting, for the most part. There are some Pacquiao lefts that find the mark. Barrera finds the right moment, and counters one assulat with a flurry of power punches. With just over thirty seconds, Pacquiao knows that he has to steal back the round. He closes the round busy. Both men look determined, strong, and fit.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 3
UH oh. Not that it’s a surprise to see proof that Manny Pacquiao is dangerous. Down goes Barrera! It’s a potent left, and it was surgically on the button. Barrera comes back, but Pacquiao is swarming relentlessly; he knows how to finish off after a knockdown, and he’s going to make the rest of this round seem like an eternity for Barrera. With a heart of steel, Marco Antonio does survive: He’s unable to do any damage in return, but he’s not giving up. He doesn’t look happy at the prospect of getting into a war tonight.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 8
Rnd 4
Pacquiao’s ranginess works to his advantage, as he pesters and pelts Barrera with those long straight punches to the face and head. When Marco Antonio counters, he does neutralize Pacman’s main weapon. Barrera is smart enough to know that he should not go toe-to-toe with this guy. With significant swelling accumulating on his left eye, however, Barrera is not coming up with enough to balance out the onslaught that he has absorbed so far. Pacquiao peppers with little hooks whenever he’s close enough, and just brings wave after wave of aggression. Can Barrera find a successful plan B (or C) and make up the difference?
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 5
Pacquiao’s kicks off the action as usual. Manny is on his toes circling, Manny swoops in and always find the mark with those long, stinging punches. And Marco Antonio just can’t seem to tag him with enough counterpunches. He is being made to look remarkably sluggish. He is obviously frustrated. And he’s got a swollen eye. It’s hard to beat the combination of factors that Manny has going in his favor. A win tonight would be phenomenal for Pacquiao, and he can taste it already.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 6
More of the same, and more beyond that. In addition to the long punches, Manny is more confident up close, and connecting with hooks to the body, with almost anything he wants to! The Barrera we know and love sometimes comes to the surface: At one point he seems to have hurt Pacquiao, and he does follow up diligently. But
it looks like there is a darn good reason that Pacquiao is such a sensation in the Phillipines. He just does not stop. At one point Barrera goes down; this debatable knockdown seems to be the result of an accumulation of body shots. Close round, but somehow it seems to be costing Barrera more than Pacquaio.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 7
Pacquiao plows foreward, Pacquiao connects with numerous punches, Barrera copes to the best of his ability. It’s no fun to see a wilted Barrera, but it’s the fight game and it’s really quite a fiery introduction of a new player. OUCH. An accidental headbutt opens a small but free-flowing cut on Barrera’s already swollen left eyelid. Marco Antonio looks like he’s wishing for a DQ tonight, and a chance to fight again another day - any day other than today. He then digs deep, and goes after Manny. Pacquiao as he did earlier in the fight, opens his arms wide in a cavalier display of confidence. Fed up, Marco Antonio intentionally butts the unstoppable Pacquiao. Rough night, this one.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 8
Just out of curiosity, do a couple of steel plates work to Barrera’s advantage or disadvantage in the event of yet another head butt? Now it’s OK-corral time. Marco Antonio swings for the moon every time Pacquiao charges in. It’s a Hail Mary tactic;can one of those sweeping uppercuts actually connect and take out Manny? He does land some stiff, isolated punches. Gotta give the champ credit for effort. But this is the toughest challenge Barrera has faced, perhaps ever. Manny Pacquiao has clearly staked a claim tonight. He’s dangerous, and he’s having fun.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 9
There are few moments of respite for Barrera. His only chance at winning this fight would be one big punch. And, historically, he has dominated by accumulation of punches, not with one big bomb. Pacquiao has incredible speed, endurance, power; the whole package. A frustrated Barrera gets a point deducted for head butting. Usually a poker-faced professional, Marco Antonio is visibly discouraged tonight. His face is swollen and bleeding. He doesn’t know how to quit, but nor does he know how to beat this man.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 8
Rnd 10
Barrera is playing it safe, and Pacquiao is still reaching with those long punches, if not with the absolute ferocity of the first two thirds of the fight. Barrera moves evasively and keeps his back off the ropes. Pacquiao follows, always on the hunt. Both fighters are subdued a bit in this round. The very final moments see some flashes of power: In close trading, the damage is fairly even with Manny initiating and Marco Antonio taking punches in order to give them. In general this fight has taken quite a toll on him.
Pacquiao 10, Barrera 9
Rnd 11
Part of the greatness of an athlete like Barrera is his ability to never give up. But sometimes, discretion really is the better part of valor. This round sees the fight deteriorating to a lop-sided beating. Barrera is just not going to come up with it, and it seems pointless for him to ride it out. The great Marco Antonio Barrera is pulled to his corner. Manny Pacquiao looks elated and ready for eleven more rounds as he climbs the ropes in anticipation of this tremendous victory. There’s a new warrior on the battlefield, and he is devastating.
