Had a major headache yesterday afternoon. I guess I strained my eyes and mind the whole day and made me lose it at around 3pm. Felt dizzy from then on. Even on my way home during the shuttle ride I can feel the pain inching in my brains. Had a quick dinner when I got home then slept afterwards. Man, that felt great. ü
I’m updated with the current news around the globe with the feeds I am getting everyday. I have a little program installed in my
Outlook that feeds me with news.

My favorites are CNN, PCWorld and Slashdot. It’s very much like the ’subscribe’ portion of some websites but the difference is that you are not giving away your email address to get the news. I receive an average of 10 newsfeed everyday for each folder. I usually skim all of them and only read those interest me.
So, what have I learned so far?
- WinXP Service Pack2 is already released (who doesn’t know?)
- XPSP2 is already in p2p clients a day after it’s release.
- MSN may be web based in the next few months (you can actually IM without installing MSN - this is for jie!)
- GeForce6 will be announced sometime this week (was there a GF5?)
- IE 7 is underworks due to mass migration of users to Mozilla
- Sharp Ships 3d monitor - it handles standard 2D and requires careful positioning for 3D effects.
- and so many other interesting factoids. ü

Finally, I’m able to complete the Thundercats The Return Series. Much thanks to Peter. I owe you this one!

Also, I was able to catch up with Identity Crisis #2. This will hopefully be a promising series as it’s relatively expensive than the other comics I’ve been buying.

Thank you to everybody who were able to come last weekend. Sorry this is a bit late as I’ve been buried in work these past days. (I’m re-learning optimization techniques).
Let me do the thank you chronologically:
Gerald - arrived ahead of everybody else. He was with us last friday when we went night swimming and had dinner at mcdo philcoa with me & pen. You surely have no qualms when ambagan time comes. Thanks for the liempo treat. Though you messed with your assigned task (the drinks dude!), you made up for being there inspite of your unhealthy health. ![]()
John & Rheena - blessed with John’s chevrolet, we were able to buy lechon manok at tandang sora 11pm in the evening because of rheena’s insistence (signs of being pregnant?). Midnight snack/dinner was plentiful - 2 lechon manok + 1 liempo. That was a pre-feast before the next day’s party. Thanks also for the multi-tap. You brought another level of game to NBA Live for us! That was awesome! kaso naman, kinuha nyo din nung gabi, bitin tuloy!.
Noemi - You made a delicious corned beef for our brunch. That was nice. Too bad you have to go for your work. You missed the gang (don’t know if they missed you). Thanks for coming! Thanks too for the additional controller we used.
Don & Melods - You guys arrived late at the pool.. next time be sure to leave work early so we can have more time. The puzzle gift you gave pen is still boxed, we’re still looking for a place where we can build it then have it framed. Thanks again!
Sherwin - honestly, i have no idea if you will be able to come or not. What’s with not replying to my sms? Then again, you gave a rather good excuse for that one and hey, you brought 2 half gallon ice creams! Thanks!
Glenn & Kat - I was quite surprised when you volunteered to bring a cake during one of our ym conversation. I think you are really levelling up in terms of ‘being-there’ factor. Nice to have you and kat on board last time. Di ka na ata sumasablay sa mga kitaan natin ngayon ah. hmmm… Keep up the good work. hehe
Maan - Galeng mo!. You could have a lot of reasons not to go especially that you will be travelling alone in a place you virtually don’t know. Bilib ako sa yo. Thanks for coming, though we were not able to talk that much there, your presence was more important. What amazes me is that you do not feel out-of-place within the group inspite of ___ (you know). Thanks for coming until the end and for bringing home extra palabok at flat noodles.
Sheryll & Peter - You are the most highly ‘may not go’ visitors. With sheryll’s (in verbatim) “Busy ang sats ko eh”, I highly suspect that you may not show up at all. Then again, good thing you guys were there. Got to talk to Peter about comics. Hehe, now I can easily buy back issues with peter’s contacts. (I finally finished collecting thundercats the return and bought identity crisis #2!). Thank you very much!
Ray - what can I say? You messed with the ice cream cones! Wooohooo! Bitin nga lang.
Rex & Ella were not able to come although I know they would have if they could.
Special mention to Anthony, remember dude, you are always in spiririt with us (no matter how freaky it sounds). Thanks!
That’s all. Hope we could see each other again. One way or the other, let’s find time to do this again. Agree?
I actually enjoyed doing this blog. Ta
kes away my mind away from work for a time being.
Ray replies:
