Bitin!
Well, you can’t get enough of a getaway from work especially if it’s all paid for. The only thing I’ve spent money is for pasalubong and booze. I just bought little keychains and bead necklaces from the tiangges over at D’Mall. I am a lousy pasalubong buyer. I honestly don’t know what to buy so I just picked up the nearest things I can reach and paid the cashier.
Friday night we went to CocoMangas. The infamous bar where you can order the 15 shots challenge. 15 shots of tequila with different mix - baileys, kahlua, tabasco, etc… I have 6 officemates who took the challenge and each of them puked on the way back to the hotel and in their respective rooms. 1 did a double take on the 15 shots and drowned 30 shots. Now, that was wasted. He’s still standing after 30 shots but can’t recall how he did it and how he was able to return to the hotel and how he puked all over the place. Total black out plus memory loss. I ordered two Illusion shaker concoction. It’s a blue drink with vodka, tequila, pineapple juice plus another which makes it royal blue. Tama lang yung tama sa akin, still standing.
(i’ll be posting more stories later…)
Seems like the blogging crew are alive and kicking.
Pen shares her new find favorite artist, Paulo Coelho, in her recent blogs.
Jie shares his first Peyups article regarding the eight of April.
Noims talks about her job switching, hornbeam tree and lots of food reviews.
Joining the blog bandwagon is the wife of my favorite cousin, Cia. It’s never late to start one. And it’s a good start at that to keep us Manila folks in touch with their life in Singapore.
Anthony must be swamped with something that he rarely posts new stories about his life in LA. The once active blogger now posts only at least once a month(?)
Glenn is still stuck with his nothing really article. Wala na ba talaga Glenn? Hehe
Just a brief summary of my crew links. Check out the allies link too.
Owners of Peyups with their photography hobby/profession
Used to be math’s computer-admin-student now living in Minnesota ranting on his sleep woes.
Markku’s Rebelpixel production updates us regarding tech talks and other stuffs.
And the web-developer-god of iGMAtv shares everything he can share.
Signing off for now. I’ll be in Boracay from Apr8-11. Leaving you with something else to read.
See you kids.
We’ll be off to Boracay this Friday morning until Sunday morning.
The tickets and giveaways were given yesterday. We have a bag, drinking container, towel, bandana and whistle. (click for larger image)

Sabi kailangan daw dalhin yung mga yun. Pambihira, dagdag dalahin lang yun eh. Yung bandana at towel dadalhin ko na nga. Yung ID at pito kelangan talaga. Yung tubigan dalhin ko na rin. Yung bag na lang ang iiwan ko.
I’m not yet that excited going to Boracay. Even if this is my first time to go there and ride a plane, it’s not the same without your better half.
Sayang lang yung chance. Pero balak din namin ni pen pumunta dun hopefully this year.
Instead of spamming your mailboxes, might as well post here the good chain letters I’ve been getting. ![]()
Find your birthday and then find your tree. This is really cool and somewhat accurate, also in line with Celtic astrology. Then send it to all your friends, including the one that sent it to you, so they can find out what tree they fell from.
I sure do not know what to do with the 1gb mail space Gmail initially offered. And now, Google is making news again. They just upped the storage capacity to 2gb. Now, that’s a lot of mail space. Yahoo offers it’s 2gb mail for some amount while Gmail is doing it for free!
Problem with Gmail is that it is not folder driven. I am so much used to moving mails to its proper folder. I haven’t got the chance to use it’s labelling feature too. And when I tried to use the POP3 feature, my outlook at the office can’t download my Gmail account. But still, I am using Gmail as my primary true identity web based account. ![]()
I’m on a DVD run every weekend. I started last holy week. Watched the following (not necessarily in any order):
Million Dollar Baby
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back
Ocean’s 11
Ocean’s 12
Snatch
Truman Show
Day After Tomorrow
Mona Lisa Smile
The Village
School of Rock
Since virra Mall is still closed, I get my “supply” in Pacita. It’s a find I tell you. It’s just like ol’ Greenhills with new faces and no “boss deebeedee deebeedee” buzzing about. I learned eversince I started buying DVD’s is to buy in bulk. That way, you get a price off from the original price. So normally, my minimum buy would be 5 discs. That’s fair enough to haggle for a price cut. The 80 bucks a piece would drop to 75 bucks. If 5 is not enough, I would add more until the manong would give in to my haggle. Kasi kung di talaga nila bababaan yung presyo, sa iba ako kukuha. Sa Quiapo daw may 25 pesos na pero walang case. Para sa akin, ok na yung 75 pesos. Di na masama sa loob ko yun. Hehe.
Say a silent prayer for Pope John Paul II.
The pope died at age 84 after years of battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
To the pope I met last January 1995’s World Youth Day, thank you for praying and watching for all of us.
I did a quick color scheme change for the site. I’m still using the same theme though.
I hope you don’t mind the blue scheme. It’s a little bit generic but I do like the color combination in the header image.
*if you are still seeing the old scheme, just hit F5 to refresh your cache memory*
It’s been a year since I started my IT job. Met new friends, spent more money, experienced the vicious cycle of corporate slavery, became a daily MRT commuter, being one with the rush hour crowd. Aaah, the fruits of realizing the IT career.
I guess after one year, you get used the routine. You become immune with the pain. Not that I regret the job. I like it. Really. It’s just that it’s so much different with UP life. UP is stress-free. UP is heaven. UP is bliss.
Right now I’m living the dream. But as you live the dream, you seek for more. You know that the boundaries are endless. There’s a lot of oppurtunities out there. You only need the right timing. I’m not knocking on oppurtunities now, I’m not even looking. I’m just here living the dream. ü
Anyway, I bought a half-gallon of ice cream for my circle of friends in the office . And since it was Apr 1, many asked if it was an April’s Fool’s joke (did I get that right? Apostrophe ’s’ for April & Fool?).
