As most of you may have all know, I have been downloading so many installers since I have started scrounging the web. I’d like to share to you guys some of the most useful ones I have been using and those I know you will also find useful.

  • Mozilla Firefox - easily the best software app I personally would like you to try. Give it a week or so. If it’s not your thing, you maybe better off with popups and spywares with IE.
  • Mozilla Thunderbird - Mail client. If I could only ditch Outlook at the office, I would do so. Thing is, we are M$ centric here.
  • wBloggar - If you’re blogging (whatever host you have signed up, chances are your blog host is covered by this client) use this nifty app. Instead of logging in your blog host, simply open this app and type away. Much like an extended notepad where you can post & publish with just one click (okay, maybe more than one click).
  • WinAmp - WinAmp still kicks the llama’s ass. I have Winamp v3 installed in my PC as I find the quick playlist menu very handy. I have tried Winamp v5 and it’s quite good too but I’m missing my quick playlist at the side of the songlists from version 3.
  • Spybot Search & Destroy - If you are still using IE, better install this app to block off your unwanted spywares. It’s a small tool but very very useful. Just keep your detection rules updated to get away from new adawares and spywares.
  • CDEx - Audio CD ripping tool. I’ve been using this tool since 1999. I haven’t tried other ripping tool yet because CDEx never fails me. CDEx supports ripping to mp3, wav and now ogg files.
